About Cosmic Peptides
What we are for
Cosmic Peptides is a research-use-only supplier whose first product is understanding. Anyone can put a lyophilized peptide in a vial and ship it. What a research program actually needs is to know what the molecule is, what the certificate that came with it means, how the numbers on that certificate were measured and what they leave out, and where the law and the regulators stand this month. We sell the vial. We exist to supply the rest.
So this site is built around a research library rather than a catalog: reference entries calculated from each peptide's structure, articles on the analytical methods behind every certificate, a glossary, a tracker of every FDA warning letter to a seller in this market, a regulatory timeline from 1906 to this year, and tools that let a laboratory check a certificate against the chemistry for itself. The catalog hangs off that library, not the other way round.
Although our products are not designed for humans, our brand certainly is. Every page here was built by people who have done this work for decades, for readers who will check it. That is the standard we hold ourselves to, and the one we think this market has been missing.
The library comes first
Most of what is written about research peptides online is marketing wearing a lab coat: generated pages that say what a compound "does", a purity figure, a buy button. The library is our answer to that. It is written in the voice of a reference work, every statement of fact is cited to a source that can be opened, and the opinions are labeled as ours. The pages carry the date they were last reviewed, and a corrections log records what we got wrong and when we fixed it.
59 peptide reference entries
Identity, calculated properties, the mass spectrometry ions to expect and analytical notes, worked out from each sequence and checked against PubChem. 25 are compounds we sell; the rest are their relatives and the classic calibration peptides, there because a reference needs them. 11 family pages align the sequences; 16 comparisons put related peptides side by side.
24 articles on the methods behind a certificate
HPLC purity, mass spectrometry identity, net peptide content, salt forms, water content, endotoxin, related substances, stability: what each number on a certificate of analysis measures, how, and what it cannot tell you. How to read a certificate of analysis is the page we would want every buyer in this market to read, whoever they buy from.
Tools that check the chemistry, not the claim
The peptide calculator gives formula, masses, charge and isoelectric point for any sequence. Mass match takes the masses from a spectrum or a certificate and compares them with what the sequence should give. Both are free, need no account, and work on anyone's certificate.
The regulatory record, kept current
Every published FDA warning letter to an online seller of research-labeled peptides, 17 to date, with the products named and the evidence cited; a timeline of the statutes, decisions and guidance that shape this market; 11 articles on what research use only means in law; and 9 opinion pieces on where it is heading, written the week things happen. A glossary of 52 terms ties it together.
Read it whether or not you ever buy from us. If the library makes a researcher a harder customer for every supplier in this market, including us, it has done its job.
How we operate
The same standard applies to the vial.
Every lot we sell is backed by:
Patent-pending lot tracking
Each vial carries a lot number printed on its label. That number links to the lot's purity, its verified quantity in milligrams and its certificate of analysis, and the same data is shown on the product page from the live lot database. The lot on the page is the lot that ships.
One certificate per lot, shown before you buy
Every lot is tested after receipt by an independent laboratory, named on the certificate, for identity by mass spectrometry and purity by HPLC. The certificate for the lot on sale is on the product page and in the certificate library. A certificate is never reused for another lot.
The molecule, in plain scientific terms
Product pages describe the molecule: structure, identifiers, analytical characterization, handling of the dry material, sources with DOIs. They do not describe what a compound does in a body, because the research-use label is the only accurate label these molecules have, and we will not dress it up.
Built to still be here
Suppliers in this market disappear, and their certificate libraries go with them. We keep to the research-use-only line in what we sell, how we describe it and what we will answer, because a supplier that holds that line is the one that is still trading when a program needs its next lot. The cheapest research-peptide sellers are the ones that vanish, and their certificates of analysis vanish with them sets out what that durability is worth.
What we will not do
A supplier that informs has to be clear about where it stops.
No answers about use in people or animals
Questions about using any material in a person or an animal get no answer from us, by email or anywhere else. Here is why, and what we can help with instead.
No wellness language
No benefits, no outcomes, no protocols, no "stacks". A product page that reads like a supplement label is making a claim nobody has the data to make.
No recycled paperwork
No certificate from another lot, no undated certificate, no purity figure that cannot be traced to a document a laboratory signed.
No blend without its composition
We sell two blends. Each states the amount of every component, the product page shows the lot's verified quantity of each, and each component is documented on its own, with its reference entry linked.
No pretending the line is a technicality
Research use only is not a disclaimer we hide behind. It is the honest statement of what is known about these molecules, and we keep to it in what we sell, what we write and what we will say.
No silent edits
When a page was wrong, the corrections log says what was wrong and when it changed. Anyone we have written about may reply, and the reply is published.
How we publish
The library has an editorial policy, and it is short: facts are cited to sources a reader can open, calculations are made from the structure and can be repeated with our own tools, opinions are labeled as opinion, every page carries the date it was last reviewed, and corrections are logged. The site was designed and written by hand, by people with decades in software, analytical work and publishing, and we use AI openly as a tool in that work: to draft, to check, to calculate, never as a substitute for knowing what a sentence means. If you find a page that reads as if nobody read it before it went up, tell us, and we will fix it in the open.
Our commitment
Cosmic Peptides was founded on one principle: research deserves materials that can be trusted, and the knowledge to judge them. Every vial we ship is documented and traceable; every page we publish is sourced and dated. We reinvest in that work, and a portion of proceeds goes to research and charitable initiatives.
We are not here to blend in with the market. We are here to raise what a research supplier is expected to know, and to say, lot by lot and page by page.
