Shipping Policy

1. Shipping Overview

Cosmic Peptides is committed to delivering research-use-only peptide products safely and securely to qualified researchers. This Shipping Policy outlines our shipping methods, packaging procedures, delivery expectations, and your responsibilities as the recipient. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

IMPORTANT: All products are shipped for research use only. By accepting delivery, you confirm that you are a qualified researcher purchasing products strictly for in vitro laboratory research purposes in compliance with our Terms of Service.

2. Domestic Shipping

2.1 Shipping Methods

We currently offer shipping within the United States via USPS (United States Postal Service) and other major carriers. Due to carrier and verification constraints, we do not ship to APO/FPO/DPO addresses. U.S. Territories are served case-by-case upon verification (currently: PR and GU only; AS not served). Shipping method options and associated costs will be displayed at checkout. Available shipping options may include:

  • First Class Mail: Estimated delivery 3-5 business days (not guaranteed)
  • Priority Mail: Estimated delivery 2-3 business days (not guaranteed)
  • Priority Mail Express: Estimated delivery 1-2 business days (not guaranteed)
  • Or equivalent services from UPS, FedEx, or other carriers

All shipping timeframes are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed by Cosmic Peptides. We are not responsible for carrier delays, weather events, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Signature Required: For orders over $250, Signature Required or Hold for Pickup is recommended and may be pre-selected at checkout.

2.2 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on order weight, dimensions, destination, and selected shipping method. Shipping fees will be clearly displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase. We reserve the right to adjust shipping costs due to carrier rate changes, dimensional weight pricing, or special handling requirements.

2.3 Processing Time

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-3 business days of payment confirmation, subject to product availability and successful verification. Processing times do not include shipping transit time. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be processed on the next business day.

We reserve the right to delay shipment for any of the following reasons:

  • Pending identity verification or account verification
  • Payment authorization holds or fraud prevention review
  • Product unavailability or backorder status
  • Suspected violation of Terms of Service or intended misuse
  • Incomplete or unverifiable shipping address

If we cannot ship within our stated timeframe, we will email you revised options or offer a prompt refund, consistent with the FTC Mail/Internet Order Rule.

3. Shipping Restrictions and Limitations

3.1 Domestic Shipping Only

At this time, we ONLY ship to addresses within the United States. U.S. Territories are served case-by-case upon verification (currently: PR and GU only; AS not served). We do not ship internationally or to freight forwarders. Orders with international shipping addresses will be cancelled and refunded, less any processing fees.

Products may not be exported or re-exported. Orders indicating export, forwarding, or secondary labeling may be cancelled even after label creation or after carrier acceptance.

3.2 Residential and Business Addresses

We ship to verified residential and business addresses. We reserve the right to require additional verification for residential shipments or to restrict shipments to business or institutional addresses only. Signature confirmation may be required at our discretion or upon customer request for additional security.

3.3 P.O. Boxes and Mail Forwarding Services

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, except where required by carrier constraints and only after enhanced verification. We do not ship to mail forwarding services. We reserve the right to refuse shipment to any address that we cannot verify or that presents delivery concerns.

3.4 Address Verification

You are responsible for providing an accurate, complete, and deliverable shipping address. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable addresses provided by you. Address changes after shipment may not be possible. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address you provided, you will be responsible for re-shipping costs. Carrier intercept/correction fees may be passed through at cost.

4. Packaging and Product Protection

4.1 Standard Packaging Procedures

All peptide products are carefully packaged to protect against shipping damage and environmental exposure. Our standard packaging procedures include:

  • Individual vials are carefully wrapped in protective foam and/or bubble wrap to prevent breakage
  • Products are packed in foil-lined or insulated mailers to provide thermal protection from extreme temperatures
  • Packages are shipped in cushioned mailers or boxes with additional protective materials as needed
  • Fragile items are clearly labeled and handled with care

4.2 Temperature Considerations

IMPORTANT NOTICE - NO COLD CHAIN SHIPPING: We do not currently offer temperature-controlled shipping, refrigerated shipping, or cold chain logistics (ice packs, gel packs, or insulated coolers). While we take reasonable measures to protect products from extreme heat through the use of insulated and reflective packaging materials, we do not guarantee temperature control during transit.

Lyophilized Peptide Stability: The peptide products we sell are provided in lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder form, which is inherently stable at ambient shipping temperatures for short periods. Lyophilized peptides are significantly more temperature-stable than reconstituted solutions and can generally withstand typical shipping conditions without degradation. This is common practice for shipping research peptides in powder form.

Customer Responsibility: Upon receipt, you are responsible for immediately inspecting products and storing them according to the storage instructions provided on the product label and Certificate of Analysis (typically refrigerated or frozen storage for long-term stability). We are not liable for degradation that occurs after delivery due to improper storage.

4.3 Extreme Weather and Seasonal Considerations

During periods of extreme heat (summer months in certain regions) or extreme cold (winter months), we may delay shipments or contact you to coordinate delivery timing to minimize temperature exposure. While lyophilized peptides are stable at shipping temperatures, we take reasonable precautions to avoid prolonged exposure to temperature extremes when possible.

To limit time in transit during temperature extremes, we may avoid Friday/weekend dispatch unless Signature Required or Hold for Pickup is selected.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • We are not liable for temperature exposure during carrier transit
  • Seasonal shipping delays for temperature considerations are at our sole discretion
  • You assume all risk of temperature exposure during shipping
  • No refunds or replacements will be provided for claimed temperature-related degradation unless the product was visibly damaged or the packaging was compromised during shipping
  • Third-party temperature logger data is not accepted unless the logger was supplied by Cosmic Peptides

5. Delivery and Risk of Loss

Shipment Terms

5.1 Title and Risk of Loss Transfer

CRITICAL LEGAL PROVISION: All products are shipped FOB Origin (Free on Board - Shipping Point). This means that title to the products and risk of loss pass from Cosmic Peptides to you upon our delivery of the products to the common carrier for shipment, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Once the carrier takes possession of your order, you bear all risk of loss or damage during transit.

We are NOT responsible for:

  • Lost packages
  • Stolen packages (porch theft)
  • Packages damaged during carrier transit
  • Delivery delays caused by the carrier, weather, or other events beyond our control
  • Misdelivery by the carrier to wrong addresses
  • Packages left in unsecured locations by the carrier

5.2 Carrier Tracking and Delivery Confirmation

A tracking number will be provided via email once your order has shipped. You are responsible for monitoring the tracking information and being available to receive the package or making arrangements for secure delivery (such as requesting signature confirmation or hold for pickup at a carrier facility).

Delivery confirmation (including signature confirmation where applicable) constitutes proof of delivery. Once the carrier confirms delivery, we have fulfilled our shipping obligation.

For higher-value orders, consider Signature Required or Hold for Pickup at a carrier location.

Delivery Instructions: Any carrier delivery instructions (e.g., "leave at door/garage") are at your risk.

5.3 Lost or Stolen Packages

If tracking shows that your package was delivered but you did not receive it (porch theft, misdelivery, etc.), you must:

  • Check with household members, neighbors, and building management
  • Verify the shipping address you provided was correct
  • File a claim with the carrier if applicable
  • Contact local law enforcement if you suspect theft

We are not responsible for packages confirmed as delivered by the carrier. We may, at our sole discretion, assist you in filing a carrier claim, but we do not guarantee resolution or replacement. For high-value orders, we strongly recommend requesting signature confirmation at checkout.

5.4 Undeliverable or Returned Packages

If a package is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, multiple failed delivery attempts, or other recipient-caused issues, you will be responsible for re-shipping costs if you wish to have the order re-sent. We reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a refund less original shipping and a restocking fee reflecting actual recovery costs (capped at 25%), where permitted by law.

6. Damaged Shipments

6.1 Inspection Upon Delivery

YOU MUST INSPECT YOUR PACKAGE IMMEDIATELY UPON DELIVERY. If the package shows visible external damage (crushed box, torn packaging, leaking contents, etc.), you should:

  • Note the damage on the delivery receipt if signing for the package
  • Take photographs of the exterior packaging showing the damage
  • Carefully open the package and photograph the contents
  • Contact us within 72 hours of delivery at customercare@cosmicpeptides.com with photographs and a detailed description

6.2 Damaged Product Claims

If you receive a product that is damaged during shipment (broken vials, leaking contents, visibly compromised packaging), you must notify us within seventy-two (72) hours of delivery with photographic or video evidence as described in Section 7.2 of our Terms of Service. The 72-hour window runs from the carrier's first delivery scan timestamp. Include photos of outer carton, inner packaging, vials, and intact/broken seals.

We will NOT accept damage claims if:

  • The exterior packaging shows no signs of damage
  • The claim is made more than 72 hours after delivery
  • You do not provide unaltered photographic or video evidence
  • The product has been opened, used, or tampered with (except to document damage)
  • The damage appears to have occurred after delivery due to improper storage or handling

Approved damage claims will be resolved by replacement or refund at our sole discretion. All provisions regarding fraudulent damage claims in our Terms of Service Section 7.2 apply fully to shipping damage claims.

IMPORTANT: Retain all packaging and contents until the claim is resolved; disposal may void the claim.

7. Shipping Insurance and Carrier Claims

7.1 Optional Shipping Insurance

Shipping insurance may be available for purchase at checkout for an additional fee. Insurance, when offered, is provided by a third-party. Coverage decisions are made by that provider. Shipping insurance may cover loss, theft, or damage during transit, subject to the insurance provider's terms and conditions. If you purchase shipping insurance, you will need to file a claim directly with the insurance provider in the event of a covered loss. Insurance must be selected at checkout; it cannot be added after shipment.

No Duplicate Recovery: If an insurance claim is paid, we will not also issue a replacement or refund for the same loss.

7.2 Carrier Claims

For lost or damaged packages, you may be required to file a claim directly with the shipping carrier. We will supply shipment documentation within 5 business days to support your claim; outcomes are determined by the carrier/insurer. We may assist you by providing necessary documentation (proof of shipment, declared value, etc.), but the carrier claim process is between you and the carrier. Carrier claim outcomes are not guaranteed, and we are not responsible for carrier claim denials.

8. Regulatory and Compliance Matters

8.1 Compliance with Shipping Regulations

We comply with all applicable shipping regulations for research chemicals, including DOT and IATA rules as applicable to a product's classification; most shipments are non-hazmat. We also comply with all carrier-specific requirements.

8.2 Restricted and Regulated Materials

We do not sell DEA-scheduled products. Certain items may require special handling or documentation; shipment may be delayed or refused pending verification.

8.3 Customer Compliance Obligations

By accepting delivery, you confirm that:

  • You are legally authorized to receive research chemicals at the delivery address
  • You have all necessary permits, licenses, or institutional authorizations required in your jurisdiction
  • You will handle, store, and use products in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • You will not divert, resell, or distribute products to unauthorized parties

9. Order Tracking and Customer Support

9.1 Tracking Information

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information. You can track your shipment using the carrier's website or mobile app. Please allow up to 24 hours after shipment notification for tracking information to become active in the carrier's system.

10. Modifications to Shipping Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Shipping Policy at any time to reflect changes in our shipping procedures, carrier relationships, regulatory requirements, or business operations. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services and acceptance of shipments after policy changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.

Material changes to shipping methods, costs, or geographic restrictions will be communicated via email to active customers where feasible.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COSMIC PEPTIDES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO SHIPPING, DELIVERY, OR TRANSPORTATION OF PRODUCTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR DELAYED DELIVERY, LOST PACKAGES, STOLEN PACKAGES, DAMAGED PRODUCTS, TEMPERATURE EXPOSURE, OR ANY OTHER SHIPPING-RELATED ISSUES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY SHIPPING-RELATED CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL SHIPPING COST PAID BY YOU FOR THE SPECIFIC SHIPMENT AT ISSUE, OR FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00), WHICHEVER IS LESS, OR AS REQUIRED BY LAW.

This limitation of liability applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages and regardless of the legal theory upon which the claim is based (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise).

12. Integration with Terms of Service

This Shipping Policy is incorporated into and made a part of our Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between this Shipping Policy and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service shall control. All capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meanings assigned to them in the Terms of Service.
